What's more exciting...the learning that takes place in 1st grade or getting to sit in your OWN DESK doing it??!! Keep it clean buddy...you never know when Mommy's going to make a surprise inspection!
Carter and the BEST 1st grade teacher in the whole world - Mrs. Dvoracek! Mrs. D used to teach kindergarten with Mommy for years and switched to 1st grade a few years ago. She's been a long-time close friend of Mommy's for 9 years, and Carter is SO blessed to have her for a teacher! (P.S. We were assured that the preferential treatment stopped after this morning, when we were allowed into the classroom before the bell rang to take these pictures. The good grades will surely have to be Carter's to earn!)
Last year, Nana made Carter a special dinner on the first day of kindergarten. He said that he wanted to have everything be pink. Well, apparently his new favorite color is blue and the request was for everything BLUE for his dinner - blue chicken (don't ask how she did that), blueberries, blue jello, blue noodles, and blue milk...all served on blue paper plates. Thanks for a special dinner again Nana!
