Poses, Popsicles, Prints, Preciously Priceless, and Peacock

For the first 15 months of her life (well, let's give her credit for the first 4 or 5 months of her life when she was oblivious to the camera), Amelia was less than interested in the camera - at least compared to Carter who hammed it up right from the get go.  Now, though, she thinks nothing of striking a POSE whenever given the chance - at least when she's not too busy doing something else!

On Friday evening, Carter and Mommy went to a play (Seussical - funny and amazing and great acting/singing by the kids) at the high school, leaving Daddy at home with Amelia.  She's been so into popsicles this summer (as Carter has always been - a trait passed along to them by their Papa we're sure).  We totally caved and have become hooked on the Popsicle brand "baby pops" that are just as expensive but are about 1/4 the size, slow melt, and have a very short stick. Although it seems to be non-economical, they're definitely perfect for a toddler!  Daddy marveled at the opportunity to take some pictures of her and her POPSICLES (yup...popsicleS...she just can't leave her seat having had only 1).

Trying out the color accent feature on our new camera...go green Amelia!

"Sometimes you get discouraged because I am so small and always leave my fingerprints on furniture and walls.  But every day I'm growing - I'll be grown up some day.  And all those tiny handprints will surely fade away.  So here's a little handprint just so you can recall exactly how my fingers looked when I was very small."
Orange PRINTS...that's what we get for leaving the cheeseballs within a toddler's reach!
How PRECIOUS is a big brother reading books to his little sister right after her nap (so Mommy could get her snack ready without her hanging on her leg in the kitchen saying "EAT" over and over and over).
Carter and Amelia...your smiles are PRICELESS!
Here's why Amelia sports a sprouting pony on top of her head each day - even without the ponytail, her hair stands up anyway!  After going to bed with it nice and flat from the bath the night before, Daddy still says she looks like a PEACOCK in the morning!  Don't worry Rae, we're sure it will be cowlick free in a few years...hopefully!
