We're Going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo

AJ and Nolan were friends that we met this year in kindergarten.  Actually, the boys were in Mommy's class and she got to know their families well that way, and the boys have just hit it off so well!  (They were the families that we did the Science Museum camp in with!)  It's ironic that the boys are also the oldest ones and that each of them have a baby at home (AJ's brother is only a month younger than Amelia and Nolan's sister is about 9 months younger) as the 2nd in the family just like us!  Anyway, we organized a playdate to the Minnesota Zoo with the boys and the babies.  Little did we know that it would be 55 and drizzly that day.  We'd LOVE 55 in the fall and would probably break out the capris and sandals with that temp in the spring, but it seems SO cold in the summer.  We had to bundle up in jeans and sweatshirts, as the boys were not keen on seeing only the indoor animals and we made the trek around the whole zoo outdoors as well.  All in all, though, a fantastic day!  We hope to remain friends for years to come with these two wonderful families!

"Hey boys...I can't see way down here!"
Don't get too much closer you two or they may keep you in that monkey cage!

Mrs. Peterson (our music teacher), you trained these kindergarten graduates well...  As we were walking by the camels, they sang "Sally the camel has 5 humps..." (a song from their music program this spring)!
