A girl's never too young to learn to use tools. Amelia and Daddy are putting together her new wooden crib and high chair that she got for her babies.

When Amelia's hungry, she trots over to the snack cupboard, takes out a package of microwave popcorn, asks Carter to help open it, pulls over a stool, puts the package in the microwave, pushes the "popcorn" button, then jumps up and down yelling "POP POP POP" while it pops.

At school, Carter was an engineer as he build his gingerbread house. He was given a particular amount of play money to "spend" on materials, planned out the components he wanted to have on his house, and then constructed it. His house is complete with a Christmas tree, mailbox, sled, and snowman. Too cute! Maybe he'll want to trade in his pro-baseball plans for a career as an architect!

Amelia made a house too! At daycare, the kids stuck on the candy after Carrol spread the roof with frosting. We're impressed with the fact that there's actually candy on the roof and not just in her tummy!

Here's the final creation of the Hanson family gingerbread house that served as our centerpiece for the month!

Carter planted this paperwhite flowering plant as just a little bulb buried in the soil during a school activity this past fall. Look how big it's grown!
