How fortunate we are to have jobs that allow us time at home with the kids! Daddy was able to take some vacation around our school winter break. It's SO nice to have some quiet time together after the Christmas hullabaloo!

Welcome 2010!

Ok...be honest...how many games of Monopoly have you actually finished? This was the first time that Mommy, Daddy, and Papa actually finished an entire game - as the instructions specify. And, here sits the winner...who eventually ended up with everyone's property and money. Who would've thought that in 4 hours, we would all get schooled by a 7 year old!

Amelia lost interest in Monopoly after 4 minutes and found it much more entertaining to try to crawl in and out of her baby doll crib. And, yes, she was supervised during our 4-hour Monopoly endeavor. Nana volunteered to sit this one out and keep Amelia occupied. We'll take bets on who will draw the lucky straw for that job the next time the Monopoly board comes out!

It's SO much fun being so close to the Minnesota Zoo. We like to visit the indoor trails during the winter and take part in the outdoor trails during those 3 other months of the year. Here the kids are going through the bear maze cave.

We spend the bulk of our indoor zoo time at the aquarium. There is something so peaceful about watching fish.

We're Viking fans - through thick OR thin!

We watched lots of movies! And, what would movie night be without popcorn?

We colored lots of pictures! Coloring, reading, playing ball, and watching movies are the 4 main things our nearly 6-years-apart-in-age kiddos share an interest in. Although, both are very good at nosing their way in to and annoying each other (I mean, showing a genuine interest in) with each other's individual interests as well.

It's great to kick back, relax, and snuggle up with each other!
