A Sopp Family Christmas

We've fallen into the routine of making the drive from Crosby to Virginia late on Christmas Eve night, and with the snowstorm this year, we arrived in V-town at 1:00 AM. But, it's nice to be at our destination for Christmas morning, even if that is only after 5 short hours of sleep.
Santa made a pit stop here and delivered quite the gifts - a kitchen for Amelia and an iPod Touch for Carter. Although there was a significant difference in the size of the package, Santa tried to even the score by wrapping Carter's iPod in a GIANT box with lots of stuffing. It is the greatest gift ever to wake up on Christmas morning to such awesome kids and a wonderful family.

Amelia was much speedier at opening this year and was interested in more than just the wrapping paper. Amazing what one year of growth can do when you go from being a baby to a toddler!
Is it sad that our 7 year old not only knows the names and cities of all the NFL teams, but he also knows the main players for everyone?! I guess that waking up in the morning and turning on SportsCenter will do that to you! Carter, we love that you're our little sportster!
It's kind of hard to see closely, but the jerseys in the picture say Nathan, Mauer, HANSON, and Morneau. What a fun gift Nana and Papa! With his wicked left-arm, we just might see Carter's name on a Twins jersey some day!
Santa brought Amelia this play kitchen, complete with all the necessities. Here she is preparing a wonderful meal for Big Papa.
